The premiere of the new Japanese concept in full has been held at the 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon. Debuted last year at the Tokyo Motor Show, the show car is nothing else but the STI version of Subaru Viziv Performance. Getting more aggressive appearance, the concept has been vividly peppered with pink exterior add-ons on the rear wing (as always, the latter is truly gargantuan), side skirts, in the grille and in the front spoiler. The brand’s – pink too – STI badge on the front bumper is also a fresh addition, as well as unparalleled bodywork.
The STI performance concept would likely hint at a future vision of a next-gen Subaru WRX and WRX STI to preview. However, no exact specs or powertrain information have been announced so far, but the concept is expected to feature all-wheel-drive system and a flat-four engine, as well as full tech stuffing – from Starlink navigation to Eye-Sight driver assist system or incorporated roof sensors.
