The eight generation car of VeeDub’s is a luxurious business class sedan, more efficient, lighter and with enough technology to make your head twirl. Volkswagen has brought all new model with a codename B8 to signify Passat the eight generation during 1973. This car is based on the V group super-pliable MQB platform which is shorter actually in length by only 2mm but wider, lower and depending on its specification; it is 8k lighter than a current model.
Despite of the length size, passenger space is increased with a lightened wheelbase, stretched out by pushing all the four wheels as far as possible without setting too far out that this car can’t run on them anymore.
Visually it looks similar to the present Passat while with a difference visible only. There is a chrome band running over its radiator grille and headlamps that are equipped with the halogen lights or LED. The rear part is tweaked of tall lights and more powerful variants, a twin chrome drain finishers integrated into its bumper. With all these features, VW tries out to melt segment boundaries. In a real sense, Passat is the really true flagship sedan of this brand. That is the reason it is blessed with a lot of features. Its adaptive headlamps are possible to equip with a Dynamic light assist, the features are like of Audi’s Matrix beam deception in its refreshed A8. Total ten engine options are being offered abroad with turbo-charge, direct injection petrol and diesel. The power output range from 118bhp-276bho and each engine is mated with six-speed manual or 7 speed DSG and regenerative braking technology.
