McLaren Automotive has been finally wrapped off its latest hypercar, and is ready to tell us how fast it can go. The new model is claimed to be the most extreme supercar focused at crazy roadgoing, with mind-blowing performance stats. The long-awaited roader uses a familiar mid-mounted 4.0-liter biturbo V8 making 789 horses and 590 pound-feet of torque via an already potent seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, to provide the impressive power output.
Named after Ayrton Senna, the glorious McLaren F-1 driver having won three F-1 team world championships, the road-legal hypercar features an ultra lightweight carbon fiber package to weigh just 2641 pounds dry. Actually, it’s the lightest McLaren road-going fighter ever! Aimed to replace the P1, the Senna shares its platform with the current 720S using the Monocage III monocoque chassis. The track missile also gets the Brembo CCR-M carbon-ceramic brakes, track-focused Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, an extremely active rear spoiler, titanium exhaust pipes and a huge front splitter.
