Ahead of the new model year, the company has finally announced the official debut of its off-road truck for the Land Down Under. The Ford Ranger Raptor will reportedly be unveiled to the public on February, 7, 2018. Unfortunately, the long-awaited model for the 2019 model year would first rip the Aussie’s tracks and roads; the U.S. market should better wait a bit.
The new 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor will feature a higher ground clearance, a wider track and new 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich A\T tires, for advanced off-road capabilities. Ford promises better performance for the Raptor, claiming the off-roader will be powered by a high-output 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine. A future Bangkok debutant will also get a new 10-speed automatic transmission co-developed by Ford and GM, along with a FWD system. Can’t wait to see this performance version of one of the world’s best truck-favs!
